Every year Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service goes out to numerous fires affecting every type of company from small family run businesses to large production factories and storage warehouses.

Some of these fires have been extremely severe, meaning the businesses are still yet to get back on their feet. The knock on effects are also massive – a fire affecting one business can in turn impact on suppliers, retailers and some people find themselves out of a job whether it be temporarily or in other cases permanently. Up to 60% of small businesses do not recover from a severe fire.
 
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has a dedicated, professional business support service team. The team offer free initial consultations, free fire safety advice and free business support packs. They also provide high quality fire safety training courses. The courses are both theoretical and practical, and are designed to reduce risk in your business. These can be delivered on site or at our Headquarters site near Stone.
 
 “Keep Your Business in Business" is a resource which is available as a handbook, a CD ROM or can be downloaded from the Internet, gives detailed guidance to make your business as risk free from fire as possible. It also contains valuable information to assist you in compliance with legislation, good practice, disaster recovery and how to keep your business safe.
