Crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and neighbouring fire services are dealing with a large fire at an Tame Valley Industrial Estate in Tamworth.

The fire, at Masonry Solutions off Ninian Way, Wilnecote, was reported at around 3.10pm on Thursday May 4.

It was reported to be fibreglass moulding and possibly chemicals alight.

All persons were accounted for but colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance were called to the scene as a precaution.

Crews from Tamworth, Lichfield, Barton-under-Needwood, Burton, Warwickshire and West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance. Three main line jets are in use along with four breathing apparatus. In total there are seven fire appliances at the scene, additionally the aerial platform ladder is in attendance.

The incident has generated a significant amount of smoke and nearby residents and business are advised to stay indoors and keep doors and windows shut.
