Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Family Festival of Carols is set to take place at Lichfield Cathedral on Sunday, December 4.

"It is a magical evening that is enjoyed by people of all ages. I would encourage anyone who wants to join us for the special event to book their place now to make sure they don’t miss out on what promises to be a lovely evening."

The Service is once again presenting the Christmas-time treat at 6pm. Local children will act out the nativity play and the Lichfield Cathedral Chamber Choir will perform. Vice-Dean and Canon Dr Anthony Moore will preside over the service and there will be mince pies and tea and coffee afterwards.

Marketing and Communications Manager, Jude Russell, who has organised the event, said: "The Family Festival of Carols is a real highlight of the Christmas period. It is always a popular event and for many attendees, it marks the start of the season.
