Fire Service personnel involved in Fairness and Equality matters 

As determined by Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive in consultation with the Chair of the Human Resources Policy Committee

Terms of Reference

  • To monitor and develop the Authority’s policies and procedures to ensure Fairness and Equality; to recommend new or revised policies and procedures where necessary; and to review and monitor outcomes.
  • To develop and monitor the Race Equality Scheme.
  • To develop and monitor the Equality and Diversity Strategy action plan
  • Note: The Group will receive reports on equal opportunities issues and targets; recruitment and personnel procedures; harassment procedures etc; and will recommend policy directions to the Human Resources Policy Committee.

Delegated powers: None

Reporting to: Minutes go to the Human Resources Policy Committee.

Frequency of Meetings:

Four times per year
