Student Firefighter Passing Out Parade in Lichfield

A group of student firefighters will be awarded for successfully completing their course at their Celebration of Success event that will be held at Lichfield Fire Station on 12th December at 1pm.

 “The students have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have gained many practical skills as well as life skills such as communication and teamwork. We are really proud of their achievements.”

The group of year 8 and 9 students celebrating their success are from various schools in Lichfield. They will carry out a demonstration to their family and teachers of the practical skills they have learnt during the course.

The Mayor of Lichfield, Janet Eagland will meet the students before they perform their demonstrations. She will then present the certificates, a Personal Achievement Award and Trophy for the Star Student at the event.
The students have attended the course once a week over the last 6 weeks at Lichfield Fire Station where they have learnt training and squad drills, road traffic collision extrication procedures, hose running and pumping, first aid and fire safety in the home.
