A team of 12 Burton firefighters raised more than £3,000 after saddling up for the Coast to Coast bike ride challenge.
The three-day 145-mile fundraiser from Cumbria to Sunderland will boost the Oncology ward at Queens Hospital, Burton.
Watch Manager, Ian Pullen said: “We are still in the process of collecting the money and sponsorships but already have more than £3,000 which is just fantastic. Everyone worked really hard to train for the event and a big thank you goes to everyone who donated as well as the companies who helped us along the way.”
