In 2010/11 Staffordshire Fire and Rescue holds a revenue budget of £42.8 million and a capital programme of £7.4 million.
Statement of accounts
The Statement of Accounts presented are the audited accounts for the years 2008/09 and 2007/08. They include an analysis of the Authority’s financial position, statement of responsibilities, annual governance statement and the main accounting policies. The Statement of Accounts is published by 30th September annually.

Council tax leaflets
Each year the council tax leaflet, which is provided to all households in Staffordshire, includes a section for Staffordshire Fire & Resuce Service. The leaflet gives a summary of our recent performance along with some details of how we intend to develop services.

Annual audit letters
Our external auditors are the Audit Commission. As part of their code of practice, each year they issue the Fire Authority an Audit Letter. This summarises the findings of their audit of our financial statements, and their assessment of our performance management.

Supplier payments over £500
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is the first Fire Authority to publish items of spend over £500 as part of the new transparency arrangements for local government, in response to the recent paper issued by Eric Pickles MP.
